Line editing focuses on improving clarity, flow, and style at the sentence level, while still keeping your unique voice intact. I’ll smooth out awkward or unclear phrasing, strengthen transitions, reduce repetition, and make sure your tone and perspective stay consistent throughout your manuscript.

This service is designed to elevate the overall readability and polish of your writing. It does not include major structural changes or full developmental editing of the manuscript.

Proofread

Proofreading is the final step before publication, focusing on surface-level accuracy after your manuscript has been edited. I’ll correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar, as well as tidy up things like capitalisation, hyphenation, and any small inconsistencies. I’ll also fix minor formatting issues, such as spacing or paragraph alignment, where needed.

This service is all about giving your work a clean, polished finish. It does not include stylistic edits, sentence rewrites, or broader developmental feedback.

Developmental editing looks at the bigger picture of your manuscript. I’ll help you strengthen structure, pacing, and overall cohesion, while making sure your ideas, themes, and narrative are clear and engaging. This can include feedback on plot, character development, organisation, and how effectively your message comes across to your reader.
